BCG SD NORMAL Fast Heating System Leak Sealant (Up to 8L/1h)

Description:

Bacoga BCG® SD Normal is suitable for water loss up to 8 liters/hour, equivalent to 200 liters/day. It seals leaks in heating systems and pipes within just 3 days. This quick-sealer for heating systems should not be used in gas boilers. BCG SD Normal crystallizes and hardens upon contact with CO2, resulting in a lasting seal. It can be used on commonly occurring pipe materials such as copper, steel, plastic, stainless steel, and galvanized material. No special tools are required for application, and BCG SD Normal rapid sealing solution can remain in the heating system.

Important Note:

This product is not suitable for use in gas boilers!

BACOGA BCG SD Normal USER INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Empty approximately 20 liters of system water.
2. Close the filling/draining tap.
3. Drain the filling hose of water.
4. Fill SD Normal into the hose using a funnel.
5. Connect the hose to the tap.
6. Open the filling/draining tap.
7. Open the tap to allow BCG SD Normal into the heating system.
8. Close the tap and the fill/drain tap.
9. Disconnect and empty the hose.
10. Repeat until the required amount of BCG SD Normal leaks sealant is filled.
11. Fill the heating system to operating pressure.
12. Fully open all heating and mixing valves.
13. Set the system to operating temperature.
14. Vent the system.
15. Leave the product in the system or empty it after 3 days and refill with fresh water.
16. Optionally, pull off the pump head and clean it.
17. Optimal sealing requires heat, circulation, and some CO2 contact.
18. If needed, extend the curing time.

For District Heating Systems:

• Identify the leak location.
• Establish a closed circulation through the leak area using an external circulation pump with built-in heating.
• Add the correct concentration of BACOGA SD Normal liquid sealer.
• Heat up the circulating SD mixture to speed up the sealing process.
• Maintain circulation through the leak area until sealed.
• Rinse the heating circuit thoroughly after sealing.

Safety Data for SD Normal:

• In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a physician.
• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.
• Wear suitable protective gloves and eye/face protection.
• Remove SD Normal sealant promptly from surfaces with plenty of water to prevent crystallization.
• Observe usual precautions when handling chemicals.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Mixing Ratio:

• 1 liter of SD Normal per 200 liters of system water.

Shelf Life/Storage:

• Unopened, it has a shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture.
• Protect from frost.

NOTE:

• Ensure no additives are present in the heating system (frost and corrosion protection).
• Remove filters, sieves, and dirt traps or establish a bypass.
