Description:
BACOGA BCG® HC 60 Reaction Accelerator is part of a two-component system designed to eliminate water loss in sewer pipes and must be used in conjunction with BCG Kanal sewer sealant. The combination of BCG Kanal and BCG HC 60 can be applied to all common sewer pipe materials, including plastic, cast iron, clay, concrete, and lead. Leaks in the pipe or at sleeve joints can be effectively sealed. When BCG Kanal liquid sealant interacts with the BCG HC 60, it crystallizes both inside and outside the pipe, creating a mechanical seal that is permanent and resistant to aging.
Note:
- Before sealing with BCG Kanal, ensure the pipe is thoroughly cleaned.
- BCG Kanal and BCG HC 60 reaction accelerator must not be mixed together.
- Both BCG Kanal and BCG HC 60 can be reused.
BACOGA BCG HC 60 USER INSTRUCTIONS:
- Initial Test:
- Shut off the sewer pipe and fill it with water to measure the water loss.
- Preparation:
- Clean the sewer pipe thoroughly and block it using appropriate tools (e.g., BCG stop-off bladder, stopper plugs).
- Application of BCG Kanal sealer:
- Using a suitable pump, introduce BCG Kanal sewer sealant (without the reaction accelerator) into the leaking sewer pipe.
- Leave BCG Kanal drain sealant in the pipe for approximately 1 hour.
- Drain BCG Kanal completely from the pipe and rinse the pump.
- Application of BCG HC 60:
- Immediately after draining BCG Kanal sealer, pump BCG HC 60 into the sewer line.
- Leave BCG HC 60 in the pipe for approximately 1 hour.
- Pump out BCG HC 60 accelerator, drain the sewer pipe completely, and rinse the pump.
- Reapplication:
- Repeat the above procedure a second time.
- If no more of the reaction accelerator is consumed in the second process, the pipe is sealed. If consumption continues, repeat the entire procedure. Usually, two applications are sufficient to ensure a successful seal.
- Mechanically remove any product residue.
- Load Test:
- After 12-24 hours of curing, perform a load test with pressure to ensure the seal's integrity.
Safety Precautions:
- Observe standard precautions when handling chemicals.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Disposal: Refer to the safety data sheet.
Mixing Ratio: Use pure.
Suitability for Storage: Store for up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. Protect from frost.
